Through a new agreement, United Launch Alliance (ULA) will provide technical information to NASA about using the Atlas V rocket to launch astronauts into space.

Rocket: Proton M/Briz M; Payload: SES-3 (OS-2), KazSat-2; Date: 15 July 2011, 2316 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. After an 8-hour, 1-minute mission, the Briz M upper stage successfully released the SES-3 satellite into geostationary transfer orbit. Eutelsat has assigned the launch of its Atlantic Bird 7 communications satellite to Sea Launch. The satellite will be lofted into an optimised geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO) aboard a Zenit 3SL launch vehicle.
