China will launch the Yaogan IX remote-sensing satellite in the coming days from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, an official at the centre was quoted as saying.

Kazakhstan hopes that Russia will finally phase out its workhorse Proton rocket, but unless there is a replacement does not object further Proton launches from Baikonur.

OverHorizon has chosen Arianespace to launch its first communications satellite, OHO-1. It is the fourth launch contract signed by Arianespace in 2010.
