ATK and Orbital receive U.S. DOJ clearance for proposed merger

Alliant Techsystems Inc.and Orbital Sciences Corporation announced that the U.S. Department of Justice has unconditionally cleared the proposed merger of ATK’s Aerospace and Defense Groups with Orbital.

No more RD-180 engines for ULA?

Allocation of ViaSat litigation settlement payment resolved

Loral Space & Communications Inc. announced that during a 1 December 2014 mediation session, Loral and MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) agreed that Loral will be responsible for US$45 million, and MDA and Loral’s former subsidiary, Space Systems/Loral, LLC (SSL), will be responsible for US$55 million, of the US$100 million ViaSat litigation settlement.

Former KT officials indicted for Koreasat 3 sale

Two former senior Korea Telecom executives were indicted for selling the Koreasat 3 satellite to ABS of Hong Kong without government authorisation, a spokesman for the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office was quoted as saying.
