Astronaut Steve MacLean was appointed president of the Canadian Space Agency, Industry Minister Jim Prentice announced.

Effective 3 July 2008, the Sea Launch Board of Directors has appointed Kjell Karlsen as President and General Manager. Mr. Karlsen replaces Robert A. Peckham, who will be pursuing other opportunities within The Boeing Company.

Luigi Pasquali has been appointed President and CEO of Thales Alenia Space Italy, replacing Carlo Alberto Penazzi. He will also take on international responsibilities in the parent company as Deputy to the CEO of Thales Alenia Space, Reynald Seznec.

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. announced the appointment of Ari Krashin to serve as Chief Financial Officer of the company, effective immediately.

Intelsat, Ltd. announced that it has accepted the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, Jeffrey Freimark, to be effective 5 June 2008.

Dr. T. K. Alex is appointed as Director, ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Bangalore. He will take over charge on 31 May 2008 from Dr. K. N. Shankara. ISAC is the premier centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) responsible for the development of satellite technology.
