NovaWurks Inc., a provider of high technology space products and services, announced it has signed a licensing agreement with Arkisys, a provider of large space platforms and spacecraft solutions.

Orbital ATK, Inc. announced that the Thaicom 8 satellite has arrived at its launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Thaicom 8 is the second satellite Orbital ATK has built for Thaicom PLC and is based on the company’s flight-proven GEOStar-2 platform.

Europe’s latest navigation satellites, launched last December, have been officially commissioned into the Galileo constellation, and are now broadcasting working navigation signals.

Launched in January 2016, the Jason-3 operational oceanography satellite recently passed its in-orbit acceptance review. Telesat has procured two prototype Ka-band satellites for operation in low Earth orbit (LEO) that Telesat anticipates launching mid-to-late 2017 as part of a test and validation phase for an advanced, global LEO satellite constellation that Telesat is developing.

Space Systems Loral (SSL) announced it was awarded a contract to provide a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite to an undisclosed customer.

e2v has won a major contract with Airbus DS GmbH to design, develop and supply bespoke Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors for the advanced METimage radiometers that will be integrated in a series of three European Space Agency’s Meteorological Operational (MetOp) second generation weather satellites.
