The Turksat 4A spacecraft built by Mitsubishi Electric for Turksat AS was delivered by air to the Baikonur Cosmodrome on 16 January. This communication satellite is to be launched by a Proton M/Briz M launch vehicle this February.

ESA’s Rosetta spacecraft is to exit hibernation on 20 November at 1000 UTC. Operating on solar energy alone, the spacecraft was put to sleep in mid-2011 as it cruised far from the Sun and out towards the orbit of Jupiter.
