Goodrich Corporation has successfully integrated its electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) sensor payload with the spacecraft bus for ORS-1, the first satellite in the Operationally Responsive Space programme designed to support Combatant Command operations.

The U.S. Air Force’s second geosynchronous Space-Based Infrared Systems satellite successfully completed the integration of its two equipment panels onto the spacecraft core module at the development site in Sunnyvale, California.

COM DEV USA, LLC, a subsidiary of COM DEV International Ltd., has been awarded a contract valued in excess of US$6 million to provide UHF passive microwave equipment for a satellite payload.

The first flight unit of the Swarm satellite trio was completed at Astrium in Friedrichshafen. The purpose of the Swarm mission is to analyse the geomagnetic field and its evolution over time. The trio of satellites are set for launch from Plesetsk in 2012.
