MDA to advance technologies for Canada’s space program

Proba-2 healthy after launch

Into its second week in orbit, Proba-2’s spacecraft platform has proven to be in excellent health. This leaves the way clear for commissioning the many new technology payloads aboard the mini-satellite, among the smallest ever flown by ESA.

Norway plans to share military comsat with Spain

COM DEV USA awarded U.S. government satellite contract

Planetary Society to try solar sailing again

The Planetary Society announced LightSail, a plan to sail a spacecraft on sunlight alone by the end of 2010, which will be made possible by a US$1 million anonymous donation.

Second MUOS ground segment test completed

A team led by General Dynamics C4 Systems has successfully completed the second of three incremental ground segment tests for the U.S. Navy’s Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), the U.S. military’s next-generation narrowband satellite communications system.
