AsiaSat 5 pre3-launch details

An ILS Proton M/Briz M is now scheduled to launch AsiaSat 5 on 12 August, 1947 UTC. Lift-off had been delayed 24 hours each two times recently.

Ball Aerospace completes environmental testing for WorldView-2

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. has successfully completed environmental testing for the WorldView-2 remote sensing satellite built for DigitalGlobe and has begun post-environmental performance testing.

LCROSS looks back at Earth

On 1 August 2009, the LCROSS spacecraft successfully completed its first Earth-look calibration of its science payload. An additional Earth-look and a moon-look are scheduled for the remainder of the cruise phase of the mission.

Pictures show BEVO-1, AggieSat-2 did not immediately separate

Pictures released by NASA show that the two picosatellites that make up the DRAGONSat experiment did not separate as planned after being deployed from aboard space shuttle Endeavour.

Update: Weak signal from Aggiesat-2 may spell trouble

The problems that ground controllers have with contacting the AggieSat-2 picosatellite recently launched from aboard the space shuttle Endeavour may have an earthly reason, the AggieSat Lab at TexasA&M University said on its web site.

Aerojet and NEC co-operate on low power ion propulsion systems

Aerojet and NEC Corporation announced that the companies will explore the feasibility of jointly supplying low power ion propulsion systems for the U.S. and Japanese aerospace markets.
