DMSP Flight-18 completes acoustics test milestone

COM DEV selected by Orbital to supply payload equipment

COM DEV International Ltd. announced that it has received Authorisations to Proceed (ATPs) from Orbital Sciences Corporation totalling US$3.5 million to provide multiplexers and switches for at least two commercial satellite programmes.

NPOESS restructuring completed

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. a US$2.35 billion contract modification as part of a restructuring of the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS).

Double trouble for new satellite operator Arsat

Nahuel 1, which is currently being transferred from its former operator Nahuelsat to the Argentinian state-controlled company Arsat, has reportedly developed technical problems with its on-board thrusters. In related news, an attempt to save Argentina’s 81 degrees West slot may not have worked out as planned.
