Eutelsat Communications announced that its Hotbird 3 satellite, launched in 1997, will shortly be redeployed at the 10 degrees East location. Due to complete its mission at 13 degrees East on entry into service of Hotbird 8 on 3 October, Hotbird 3 is scheduled to initiate its new mission later this month at 10 degrees East where it will be rebranded Eurobird 10.
