Arabsat and Saudi Hollandi Bank sign Murabaha credit facility

Arab Satellite Communications Organisation (ArabSat) has signed a strategic agreement with Saudi Hollandi Bank for an Islamic facility that will secure Arabsat’s expansion over the next five years.

Latest U.S. military weather satellite delivered to launch site

The Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) F-18 Block 5D-3 spacecraft, built under contract for the U.S. Air Force by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company has been delivered to Vandenberg Air Force Base in preparation for a July 2008 launch.

Canada’s second radar satellite finally launched

Rocket: Soyuz-FG/Fregat; Payload: Radarsat 2; Date: 14 December 2007, 1314 UTC; Site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. Launch service provider Starsem and its Russian partners confirmed that the Fregat upper stage accurately injected the satellite into the targeted low Earth orbit at 798 km altitude.
