New Russian weather satellite delayed again

Russia is set to launch its Meteor-M1 weather satellite — the first in years — in the fourth quarter of 2008, the satellite’s manufacturer said.

Delta II Heavy launches gamma-ray satellite

Rocket: Delta II Heavy 7920H; Payload: Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST); Date: 11 June 2008, 1605 UTC; Site: Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, USA. Following a 1 hour and 15 minute flight, the GLAST spacecraft was successfully deployed and will begin to transmit photos and data beginning approximately three weeks after launch.
