TV For Nerds – Discover Science and Learning

For many years, the only association with the word “nerd” was a negative one. You know, pocket protectors, goofy shirts, glasses with tape on them, and a lack of social skills. But the nerd of old has all but disappeared, not unlike the buffalo or passenger pigeon. It was one a huge part of America, and now it’s got to go. Who even knows what a pocket protector was, anyway?
