Globalstar’s next-generation satellite continue to have problems with their momentum wheels, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Upcoming launches of further Globalstar satellites may be delayed.

Engineers at Northrop Grumman Corporation have confirmed how the James Webb Space Telescope’s five ultra-thin sunshield layers are attached, folded and stowed for launch using the Sunshield Full-Scale Mockup test article. The company is leading the telescope design and development effort for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.

Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) said it continues to upgrade its ground infrastructure for monitoring and control of the existing and prospective RSCC satellites. At Dubna SCC near Moscow, RSCC has opened the first Ka-Band satellite communications Earth station.

Efforts to rescue Russia’s Fobos-Grunt probe continued on 11 November, again without any results so far. “Overnight, several attempts were made to obtain telemetric information from the probe. They all ended with zero result,” Interfax quoted a source in the Russian space sector as saying.
