Coming up: MSL trajectory correction manoeuvre

An engine firing on 11 January will be the biggest manoeuvre that NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) spacecraft will perform on its flight between Earth and Mars. The manoeuvre is designed to impart a velocity change of about 5.5 meters per second.
