MAVEN gets emergency exception in U.S. government shutdown

Work on NASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) spacecraft has resumed despite the U.S. government shutdown after officials determined that MAVEN meets the requirements allowing an emergency exception.
