Sky Perfect JSAT Corporation has concluded a contract for a launch service for its JCSAT-14 communications satellite with Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX).

Arianespace said its “supply pipeline” is supporting the company’s high-activity launch pace planned for 2014, with launcher elements arriving this week in French Guiana for its third flight of the lightweight Vega and another heavy-lift Ariane 5 mission.

The third and final orbit-raising manoeuvre of GSAT-14 was successfully executed with a 172-second firing from Isro’s Master Control Facility at Hasan in Karnataka.

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. announced that operational control of the Space Test Program Satellite-3 (STPSat-3) has been handed over to the U.S. Air Force as the spacecraft begins its technology demonstration mission.
