SSL awarded contract for innovative, affordable access to space

Snecma’s PPS 1350-E plasma thruster sets world record

The PPS 1350-E plasma thruster from Snecma (Safran) has completed a series of endurance tests totalling 6,700 hours of operation, for a total impulse of 3.4 million Newton-seconds (MNs), a world record for this type of thruster.

SES awarded COMSATCOM pathfinder contract

SES Government Solutions has been awarded an US$8.2 million firm-fixed-price COMSATCOM Pathfinder contract by the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) based in Los Angeles, California. The contract will provide on-orbit transponders to support Ku-band communications for U.S. Africa Command.
