First ‘real’ Galileo satellites fuelled

The latest two satellites to be launched by Arianespace for Europe’s Galileo navigation system are being fuelled at the Spaceport in French Guiana, readying them for this month’s Soyuz mission.

ATK passes critical design review for NASA’s SLS booster

ATK has successfully completed its Critical Design Review (CDR) with NASA to verify that the five-segment solid rocket booster is on track for an unmanned, first flight of NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) in 2017.

Agreement signed for COSMO-SkyMed 2nd generation programme

Thales Alenia Space, at the helm of a Temporary Consortium of Companies (TCC) which also includes Telespazio, has signed an agreement worth EUR66 million with the Italian Space Agency (ASI), for the continuation of the Second Generation COSMO-SkyMed programme.

Andrey Kalinovsky appointed Khrunichev acting director general
