Next Galileo launch scheduled for 26 March

Europe will resume satellite launches for its Galileo navigation system in March, hoping to boost by at least six the number of orbiters this year, Arianespace and the European Commission said.

Inmarsat 5-F2 pre-launch details

SSC expands at the Inuvik Satellite Station Facility

The Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) is increasing its capacity at the Inuvik Satellite Station Facility in Inuvik, Canada, with the addition of a new multi-mission antenna. The expansion is driven by increasing customer demand for communication with polar-orbiting satellites, normally used for Earth observation and atmospheric monitoring.

Planetary Society announces test flight for LightSail spacecraft

The Planetary Society announced the first of its LightSail spacecraft will embark on a May 2015 test flight. Funded entirely by private citizens, the solar sail satellite will hitch a ride to space aboard an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

Orbital, ATK stockholders approve merger
