e2v delivers space-grade commercial processors to TAS

In a first for a European mission, Teledyne e2v’s re-engineered PC7448 microprocessors will be used at the heart of Thales Alenia Space’s on-board computer (OBC) that serve the Lightning Imager (LI) systems on EUMETSAT’s next generation Meteosat geostationary meteorological satellites.

Dubai orders environmental monitoring satellite from SFL

The Space Flight Laboratory (SFL) announced the signing of a new contract to provide Dubai-based Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) with a small microsatellite for aerosol and greenhouse gas monitoring.

TAS to provide Argos Neo instrument for Angels

Thales Alenia Space will supply the Argos Neo instrument for the nano-satellite demonstrator Angels (Argos Neo on a Generic Economical and Light Satellite). The satellite for this French space agency CNES mission is being built by Nexeya.

CGWIC to build Palapa-N1

Six ISS-Reshetnev-built satellites to be launched in 2017

Three Gonets communications satellites, the Geo-IK-2 geodesy satellite and a satellite for the Russian Defense Ministry, made by Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems, are to be launched into space this year, the company’s CEO, Nikolay Testoyedov, was quoted as saying.

Airbus Safran Launchers to become ArianeGroup

Airbus Safran Launchers, the joint venture created at the initiative of the Airbus and Safran groups in order to reorganise the European launchers sector, is to be known as ArianeGroup. The change in corporate name will be effective as of 1 July 2017.
