Bantam rocket engine thrust increased by 500%

Aerojet Rocketdyne recently completed a series of hot-fire tests on a 133.5 kN (30,000 lbf) thrust-class Bantam liquid-fuelled rocket engine built with additive manufacturing, also known as 3-D printing.

Construction of new Airbus satellite hub has started

With the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the new Integrated Technology Centre (ITC), Airbus marked the commencement of the intensive construction phase for its new EUR43-million satellite hub. The building, for the development and integration of satellites, will enable the Friedrichshafen site to handle future requirements.

Testing on full-scale turbopump machinery completed

BulgariaSat-1 arrives at Cape Canaveral

Space Systems Loral (SSL) announced that the BulgariaSat-1 satellite, designed and built for Bulgaria Sat, an affiliate of Bulsatcom, which is a leading telecommunications company and the largest provider of pay-TV services in Bulgaria, has arrived at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, where it will be launched aboard a re-used Falcon 9.
