ArianeGroup signs contract with ESA to develop Prometheus

The European Space Agency and Airbus Safran Launchers, the 50/50 joint-venture set up by the Airbus and Safran groups, which will become ArianeGroup have signed the first tranche of the development contract for the future Prometheus LOx-methane engine.

ViaSat-2 completed chemical orbit raising

OHB, SSTL to build final 8 Galileos

The European Space Agency has signed a contract with OHB as the prime contractor to build eight more satellites for its Galileo satnav system. Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd is in charge of the navigation payloads.

EchoStar Mobile, Thales partner on mobile satellite connectivity

Launch of Eutelsat’s Konnect Africa broadband service
