ULA to launch final Delta II with NASA’s ICESat-2

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta II rocket is in final preparations to launch NASA’s Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) spacecraft from Space Launch Complex-2 on 15 September between 1246 and 1520 UTC. This marks the final launch of the Delta II rocket, which first launched on 14 February 1989.

Bad weather still delays KOUNOTORI7 launch

Due to an unfavourable weather forecast for the launch day, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) have postponed the launch of the H-IIB Launch Vehicle No. 7 (H-IIB F7) which carries aboard the H-II Transfer Vehicle “KOUNOTORI7” (HTV7).

Arianespace to orbit THEOS-2 for Airbus Defence and Space

Arianespace announced that it will orbit THEOS-2, the very-high-resolution Earth observation optical satellite for Thailand, under the terms of a turnkey contract between Airbus Defence and Space and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA).

Yahsat, Hughes to form JV to deliver satellite broadband services
