GHGSat selects Arianespace to launch GHGSat-C1 on Vega

Arianespace has been selected by GHGSat Inc. to launch the GHGSat-C1 satellite on the Vega launch vehicle as part of the Small Spacecraft Mission Service flight in 2019.

Khrunichev to build 2nd Angara-5 by April 2019

An Angara-A5 heavy carrier rocket is expected to be built by April 2019 for a second test launch from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in north Russia. Rocket manufacturer Khrunichev is currently testing its integral parts, the company’s press office said.

Telespazio, TAS invest in NorthStar Earth and Space Inc.

The Space Alliance formed by Telespazio (Leonardo 67%, Thales 33%) and Thales Alenia Space (Thales 67%, Leonardo 33%) announced it has officially taken a stake in NorthStar Earth and Space Inc. (NorthStar), a Montreal based information services company developing an environmental and near-space monitoring system.

FCC gives the green light for LEO broadband constellations

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission voted unanimously to allow Space X, Telesat Canada and two other companies to roll out new satellite-based broadband services.
