Airbus, JSAT sign co-op agreement for 3rd SpaceDataHighway node

Airbus and Japanese telecommunications satellite operator Sky Perfect JSAT have signed a co-operation agreement for the design preparation of the EDRS-D node. This third communication node of the SpaceDataHighway system is to be positioned over the Asia-Pacific region before 2025. EDRS-D will lead to a significant increase in the system’s communication capacity and considerably expand its coverage.

NASA, SpaceX, and Boeing update Commercial Crew launch dates

Arianespace rejects Russian offer to fix seam rupture in Fregat booster

Arianespace has not accepted the offer by the Russian Lavochkin Research and Production Association to “patch up” the rupture in the pipeline that supplies helium to fuel tanks of the Fregat booster on the Soyuz-ST carrier rocket at the Guiana space centre, a source in the rocket and space industry was quoted as saying by Sputnik.
