Electron launches imaging satellites

Rocket: Electron/Curie; Payload: CE-SAT-IIB, nine SuperDove satellites; Date: 28 October 2020, 2121 UTC; Launch site: Mahia Peninsula, New Zealand. The Electron launch vehicle successfully deployed the 10 commercial small satellites to approx. 510 km x 524 km x 97.50 degrees Sun-synchronous orbits.

Next PSLV launch set for 7 November

ISRO said its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C49) will launch the radar imaging satellite EOS-01 as a primary satellite along with nine international customer satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, on 7 November.

ESA lays out roadmap to Ariane 6 and Vega-C flights

ESA, CNES and ArianeGroup have jointly established a consolidated reference planning for Ariane 6 development, leading to a launch in Q2 2022. Vega-C’s maiden flight is currently planned for June 2021.

D-Orbit’s ION satellite carrier completes deployment of spacecraft

D-Orbit announced the successful completion of the deployment phase of ORIGIN mission, the first of ION Satellite Carrier. ION, D-Orbit’s satellite platform, successfully released 12 SuperDove satellites for Earth-imaging company Planet, in the precise orbital slots requested by the client.

Maxar selected by USSF to develop data processing applications

Maxar Technologies announced that it was selected by the U.S. Space Force to develop prototype mission data processing applications for the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution Mission Data Processing (FORGE MDP) programme located within the Cross-Mission Ground & Communications Enterprise at the Space & Missile Systems Center.
