All engines for Ariane 6 complete qualification tests

With the successful final qualification of the P120C at the European Spaceport (CSG) in Kourou on 7 October, the qualification models of three engines for Ariane 6 have now all been tested successfully.

BepiColombo flies by Venus en route to Mercury

The ESA-JAXA BepiColombo mission has completed the first of two Venus flybys needed to set it on course with the Solar System’s innermost planet, Mercury. The closest approach of the flyby took place at 0358 UTC on 15 October at a distance of about 10,720 km from the planet’s surface.

SpaceX Could Save Economies Billions

“Elon musk’s [sic!] new Sentinel-6 satellite will play a pivotal role in measuring sea level increases, potentially helping save billions for policy makers around the world” – MSN [i.e. Microsoft Network] about the ESA/NASA/EUMETSAT/NOAA Sentinel-6A satellite built by Airbus/TAS… which just happens to be launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket.
