China launches commercial smallsats

Rocket: Chang Zheng 6; Payload: 10 NewSat satellites (NewSat-9 to NewSat-18), three piggyback satellites; Date: 6 November 2020, 0319 UTC; Launch site: Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, China. The satellites were deployed into approx. 468 km x 478 km x 97.26 degrees Sun-synchronous orbits.

Fourth GPS III satellite in orbit

Rocket: Falcon 9; Payload: GPS III SV04; Date: 5 November 2020, 2324 UTC; Launch site: Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, USA. About 89 minutes after lift-off, U.S. Space Force and Lockheed Martin engineers at the company’s Denver Launch & Checkout Operations Center declared GPS III SV04 “separated” from its SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and “flying” under their control.
