A NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory astrophysicist published the arithmetic of orbital computing in April: one megawatt needs 5,640 square meters of solar array and 2,500 square meters of radiator, and the economics only close between $250 and $1,000 per kilogram for launch and build combined. Dr. Slava Turyshev joins the orbital data center panel on the opening day of Satellite Innovation at Silicon Valley Space Week.
