MSC.Software helped deploy THEMIS satellites

MSC.Software Corp., a provider of enterprise simulation solutions and services, said that Swales Aerospace successfully utilised MSC Nastran and MSC Adams to eliminate the need for system level deployment testing in the design and development of the NASA satellite constellation THEMIS Probe Bus & Probe Carrier.

NASA to build new test stand for J-2X engine

NASA will test one of the rocket engines it is developing for its new launch vehicles at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, USA. The agency will build a new test stand at Stennis for the J-2X engine. The engine will power the upper stages of NASA’s Ares I and Ares V rockets.
