SES to provide broadband connection to African market

SES S.A. announced that it is expanding the reach of its satellite-based broadband service Astra2Connect to Africa through a signed agreement with Intersat Africa, a provider of satellite-based Internet services on the continent.

Artel takes four transponders on Astra 3B

GlobeCast books two more Eutelsat transponders

GlobeCast and Eutelsat Communications announced the signature of a three-year contract for two 36 MHz transponders on Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 1 and W2A satellites.

SpaceX delivers UHF comms unit under COTS contract

Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) announced the delivery of the Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Communication Unit to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in preparation for launch on space shuttle Atlantis, STS-129.

Russian VSAT operators want to use Intelsat 15

Indosat inaugurates Earth station for new Palapa satellite
