SES to provide satellite capacity for USCENTCOM

SES Government Solutions (SES GS) announced it has been awarded a 1-year task order with four 1-year option periods to provide 288 MHz of Ku-band satellite capacity to support forces deployed to the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) area of operation.

Avanti to deliver navigation data broadcast service for Africa

Avanti Communications has been appointed by the UK Space Agency to deliver a crucial air navigation project in Africa, SBAS-Africa, powered by satellite technology. The satellite operator has been awarded the contract under the agency’s International Partnership Space Programme (IPSP), which exists to open up opportunities for the UK space sector to share expertise in real-world satellite technology and services overseas.

Inmarsat completes successful transition of key services to Alphasat

Intelsat EpicNG completes major milestone on the road to 2016 launch

Intelsat S.A. announced the completion of a series of tests demonstrating the compatibility of the Intelsat EpicNG digital payload with existing ground equipment platforms. The digital payload is one of many unique design features on the company’s Intelsat EpicNG satellites, the first of which, Intelsat 29e, is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2016.

Kratos announces automatic satellite signal protection

DSP, SBIRS infrared sensors integrated with new ground system

The U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center along with the Airmen from the 460th Operations Group successfully commanded on-orbit missile-warning satellites from its new Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) ground system, currently in development.
