In-flight network switching between a U.S. Government Ka-band Wideband Global SATCOM satellite and a commercial Ka-band satellite has been successfully demonstrated by ViaSat Inc.

Intelsat S.A. announced that it has established strategic agreement to provide access to its global C- and Ku-band broadband mobility network to SpeedCast, a satellite communications and maritime service provider.

Arab Satellite Communication Organization – Arabsat – announced that many TV channels on-board its fleet of satellites has been the subject of intentional jamming for the past week up to today. The jammer has transmitted unauthorised signals targeting different Arabsat bouquets that are disturbing several television channels on many transponders.
