Northrop Grumman, USAF complete critical design review of EPS-CAPS

Northrop Grumman Corporation has successfully conducted the critical design review for the Enhanced Polar System (EPS) Control and Planning Segment (CAPS) the week of 28 April and the Military Satellite Communications Systems Directorate (MILSATCOM) exercised the programme’s development option on 30 April.

Thuraya and ViaSat form M2M partnership

Via Sat Brasil takes Eutelsat 3B Ka-band capacity

Via Sat Brasil announced that it has concluded a multi-year contract with Eutelsat do Brasil, the Brazilian affiliate of Eutelsat Communications, for the entire High Throughput payload on the Eutelsat 3B satellite that is scheduled for launch on 26 May.

Xplornet and Hughes sign agreement for EchoStar XIX

Canadian rural broadband service provider Xplornet Communications Inc. announced that it has committed to Hughes Network Systems, LLC to a lifetime lease for all of the Canadian satellite broadband capacity on Hughes’ EchoStar XIX, a next-generation high throughput satellite due for launch in mid-2016.

Inmarsat to provide free global airline tracking service

European Space Imaging partners with DigitalGlobe and e-GEOS

European Space Imaging announced that they have joined forces with e-GEOS (ASI/Telespazio) and DigitalGlobe to provide imagery and data processing services as part of the multi-year framework supply contract with the European Commission for the provision of very high-resolution satellite data and associated services in support of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
