China successfully conducted tests on its new 120-tonne-thrust liquid oxygen (LOX) and kerosene engine for its new generation carrier rocket, the Chang Zheng-5, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).

Astrotech Corporation, (ASTC) and its Astrotech Space Operations subsidiary (ASO) announced that the U. S. Department of the Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) has selected ASO to provide payload processing services for the second in a series of Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellites.

NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) Program completed a combined System Requirements Review and System Definition Review, which set requirements of the overall launch vehicle system. SLS now moves ahead to its preliminary design phase.
