Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) plans upgrades to the country’s H-IIA rocket, according to Mainichi Daily News.

NASA has announced the awards for the NASA Launch Services (NLS) II Contract. The award will provide a broad range of launch services for NASA’s planetary, Earth-observing, exploration and scientific satellites.

ISRO plans to launch four satellites in December using two rockets, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) director P.S. Veeraghavan was quoted as saying. He added the agency is working towards the goal of doubling the number of rocket launches to eight per year.

Progress M-07M, the 39th ISS Progress resupply vehicle, automatically docked to the aft port of the Zvezda service module of the International Space Station at 1158 UTC on 12 September using the Kurs automated rendezvous system.

The European meteorological satellite organisation EUMETSAT has chosen Arianespace to launch its new satellite, Metop-C.
