Avanti Communications Group plc has moved the launch of its planned HYLAS satellite from SpaceX’s Falcon 9 to Ariane 5, apparently under pressure from some potential investors – even though the switch costs almost US$70 million.

ISRO’s Oceansat-2 satellite will be launched next month from Sriharikota aboard a PSLV rocket that will also carry six international nanosatellites.

The launch of Sirius FM-5 aboard a Proton M/Briz M was successfully concluded earlier today. This was the fifth Proton launch of the year after four successful missions.
