TerreStar Corporation announced that its majority-owned subsidiary TerreStar Networks Inc. and certain other affiliates have filed voluntary petitions for reorganisation under chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code as part of a strategic plan to strengthen their financial position.

ESA’s SMOS mission has been bugged by patches of interference from radar, TV and radio transmissions in what should be a protected band. Painstaking efforts to reduce these unwanted signals are now paying off, the agency said.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware has approved the Sea Launch Plan of Reorganisation. Sea Launch Company LLC filed the Plan on 10 May in preparation for its emergence from Chapter 11.
