LightSquared and the United States Global Positioning System (GPS) Industry Council (USGIC) announced both the filing of their first joint report as required by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the formation of a technical working group required by the FCC.

Boeing said it wants US$356 million back from its partners in the Sea Launch venture. This includes US$147 million related to a payment made by Boeing under a bank guarantee on behalf of Sea Launch and US$209 million related to loans Boeing made to Sea Launch.

EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, held its 71st Council meeting in Darmstadt, Germany, on 30 November and 1 December.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Commercial Space Transportation has awarded SpaceX a license to re-enter a spacecraft from orbit. The license is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

In the last two months Germany, Luxembourg, Hungary and Slovenia have joined the countries voting in favour of the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) Programme Resolution.
