Siberian shepherd seeks damages over rocket debris

A shepherd in Russia’s southwestern Siberian Altai Republic is to seek damages from the Russian space agency over a rocket fragment that fell into his yard, Novosti news agency reported.

Globalstar okayed to buy Brazilian gateway operator

Globalstar, Inc. has received the necessary Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) regulatory approval for its agreement to purchase the Globalstar independent gateway operator in Brazil from Loral Space & Communications Inc. and various affiliated entities.

Spanish government approves abertis’ acquisition of Hispasat stake

The Spanish government has cleared a deal under which abertis relecom would acquire a 28.4 percent stake in Hispasat for EUR199 million. It had earlier been reported the government was opposing the acquisition.
