GAO: NOAA needs to learn lessons for GOES-R

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has released a report on the status of a next generation NOAA weather forecasting satellite system, GOES-R. The report raises concerns about the current plans for acquiring new weather satellites relied upon to provide the U.S. with daily and severe forecasts.

Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) announced that the U.S. Patent Office awarded the company patent No. 7,092,708 (the “‘708 patent”). The ‘708 patent is the latest in a series of patents issued to MSV for its advanced Ancillary Terrestrial Component (ATC) technology.
