SES World Skies U.S. Government Solutions announced that the Commercially Hosted Infrared Payload (CHIRP) and its host spacecraft, SES-2, has completed Dynamics Testing and is on schedule for launch in August of this year.

The three solar panels that will provide power for NASA’s Juno spacecraft during its mission to Jupiter have completed pre-flight testing at the Astrotech payload processing facility in Titusville, Florida, and was folded against the side of the spacecraft into its launch configuration on 26 May.

The KazSat 2 spacecraft built by the Khrunichev Space Center for the Republic of Kazakhstan has been delivered by the manufacturer to the Baikonur Cosmodrome to be processed for launch.
