Indonesian telecommunication operators PT Telkom and PT Indosat have agreed to jointly operate a satellite service in the country, the Jakarta Post quoted officials as saying.

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), with help from Boeing and Iridium, has successfully implemented a new space-based system to monitor Earth’s space environment.

Honeywell announced that its On Board Computer (OBC), Reaction Wheel Assembly (RWA) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which are part of the United States Air Force (USAF) Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) III programme built by Lockheed Martin, have successfully completed Critical Design Reviews (CDRs).

China has finished assembling its Tiangong-1 space module, the Chinese Defense Ministry said. The unmanned module is expected to be launched in 2011.
