Russia monitors Kosmos 2421 debris

Almost a year ago, Russia denied that its Kosmos 2421 spy satellite was falling apart. Now officials said they were monitoring about 30 pieces of debris that broke away to ensure they don’t jeopardise the International Space Station and its crew.

GOES-O weather satellite shipped to launch site

The second of three next-generation Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites was recently shipped from Boeing’s satellite manufacturing facility in El Segundo, Calif., to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, where it will undergo final preparations for launch this spring.
