Russian space agency Roskosmos has patented a new protective shield for protecting satellites from the high-speed impact of space debris, according to the database of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).

As the U.S. Air Force prepares to launch its second next-generation GPS III satellite, L3Harris Technologies delivered its eighth navigation payload to GPS III satellite prime contractor Lockheed Martin.

During this manoeuvre, the spacecraft’s liquid engine was fired for about 1203 seconds. With this, Chandrayaan-2 entered the Lunar Transfer Trajectory. Earlier, the spacecraft’s orbit was progressively increased five times during 23 July to 06 August 2019.

Technicians and engineers recently successfully commanded the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) to deploy the support structure that holds its secondary mirror in place.
