Goodrich technology controls NFIRE’s attitude

The U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Near Field Infrared Experiment (NFIRE) satellite was recently launched from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia with Goodrich Corporation’s satellite attitude control technology on board, the company said.

DirecTV 10 pre-launch details (II)

An enhanced Proton version is to launch the DirecTV 10 satellite on 7 July from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan. It will be the second Proton mission for International Launch Services in 2007.

Second German spy satellite launched

Rocket: Kosmos 3M; Payload: SAR-Lupe 2; Date: 2 July 2007, 1938 UTC; Site: Plesetsk, Russia. The German radar spy satellite was reportedly inserted into its target orbit.
