USA names Ball Aerospace Large Business Supplier of the Year

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. has received the large business, “Supplier of the Year” award from United Space Alliance (USA) for excellent work by the company’s space shuttle star tracker team.

Hamilton Sundstrand, P&W Rocketdyne join Ball’s Ares I team

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. announced that Hamilton Sundstrand and Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, Inc., will be the primary suppliers to Team Ball in its pursuit of a contract for the Avionics Instrument Unit for the Ares I Crew Launch Vehicle (CLV).

Delay of the day: Kaguya

The launch of Japan’s Selenological & Engineering Explorer (SELENE “Kaguya”) by an H-2A rocket has been postponed from 16 August (UTC) because two of the satellite’s components have been wrongly installed.
