Northrop Grumman to modify CERES sensor

Northrop Grumman Corporation was awarded a contract by NASA Langley Research Center to make modifications to the Clouds and the Earth’s Radiant Energy System (CERES) sensor, which will be integrated onto the National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) Preparatory Mission (NPP), scheduled for launch by NASA in 2010.
